From the Middle September 4

Kwik Star Results:

Students had another successful Kwik Star Fundraising campaign.  Thanks to everyone that participated.  Our goal as a school was to raise $90,000 in five days.  Our students earned over $93,000.  All of the money will be used to enhance opportunities for students at New Hampton Middle School.  Thanks to all that supported the school.  Now it looks like Mr. Manson gets wet!

PBIS Club Seating:

The PBIS team implemented a new kickoff prize for students this year.  On the first day of school, students were able to chose what major prize they were interested in if they were randomly drawn. For each regular season home football game this year, four students are drawn to have special seating in the south end zone.  These students get to also invite a friend to attend the game.  The Music Boosters have donated a drink, popcorn and candy to each student.  At halftime students are recognized for this reward.  Keep watching for more students each week.

Spotlight of the Week:

Ms. Dunagan is the new elementary/middle school art teacher that has worked hard to create an inspirational classroom.  She is focusing on creativity in the art classroom.  She had students define what Creativity meant to them and the importance of why artists create art. Students then posted it on her board. Students are creating sketch books that she uses as a bellringer to get ideas started for the day.  Every student has the ability to design their own unique and personal sketchbook!
