From the Middle: Week of March 26

Middle School Midmester Begins:

We are ready for our second annual Midmester!  Students begin with the new classes on Monday, March 26th and are looking forward to a different school day. Students will have three blocks where they are taking different classes.  We will have classes about babysitting, how to help in a disaster, cooking, fitness, and so much more.  It is a special time to see our students learn about the Core and 21st Century skills in a different manner.  We encourage everyone to stop in and see what is happening.   The school is partnering with various business and individuals in the community to create hands-on opportunities for our students.  We want to thank everyone for their support of this event and our schools.  Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for daily updates.  The newspaper will also be running a special section in the April 13th edition.  We will also be having a community open house on April 13th from 4-6 pm in the Middle School.  We hope to see you then!

Mrs. Rodgers Class Learns About The Human Body:

How are rats similar to the human body?  That was the topic in 8th grade science class this past week.  Once students got past the "gross" moments and got into the dissection, students were able to learn about our bodies and the differences between organisms.   It was a great learning experience for all students!
